The Quantum Composers headquarters is nestled among the picturesque mountains of Bozeman Montana. Electronics Technician/Assembler (full-time)
Minimum 2-year associate degree or equivalent experience in assembly & electronics required. Salary commensurate with experience + full-benefit package. This position is open in the Bozeman, Montana office. Send resume to: paulac@quantumcomposeres.com
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Reads and interprets drawings, schematics, engineering change orders and applicable documents. Interprets and follows assembly procedures, assembly aids, non-conformance reports and repair documents .
• Required to use hand tools and power tools to assemble and rework a variety of assemblies and performs required assembly/rework operations to meet quality standards. Uses measurement tools such as calipers, micrometer, ruler, scales, and torque wrenches.
• Populates circuit boards using both SMT and through_hole soldering methods. Solders connections for cables and harnesses. Rework SMT and through hole boards. Hand soldering is compliant to IPC standards.
• Uses a variety of crimpers to build cables and harnesses.
• Provides basic troubleshooting of electronic designs and assemblies.
• Uses DVMs, Oscilloscopes, Universal Counters and other general electronic test equipment.
• Provide QC inspection of electronic assemblies and other parts as needed
• Reliable attendance with some flexibility to support the production team.
• Supports engineering team with assembly modifications, builds, and repairs as needed.
• Supports lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvement. Ensures accuracy of BOMs and work instructions, making corrections/clarifications as needed.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• May be required to perform additional duties/responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• Quality conscious and extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to handle small parts and pieces used for various assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, schematics and drawings.
• Have a working knowledge of electronic circuits and troubleshooting.
• Ability to use Oscilloscopes, DVM's and other electronic test equipment.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and document creation
• Soldering experience is favorable.
• Positive attitude with a dependable attendance history
• Ability to change tasks and respond quickly and efficiently.
• Work well with others in a team environment.
