Quantum Composers Offers New Customer Discount

Bozeman, MT, September 16, 2010:  Quantum Composers, a top producer of Digital Delay Pulse Generator Products, is releasing a special program for University and Research partners. We are looking to spotlight the applications of a few scientists and educators using our products. In return, winning applicants will receive a 50% discount off any of our Pulse Generator products including the new 9530 or 9520 Digital Delay Pulse Generators. We are now accepting applicants with white papers and documents that detail their use of our units and encouraging submissions to include a system diagram or photograph showing our Pulse Generators integrated into systems. The papers and products will appear on our website and winners will be notified via email.

Founded in 1993, Quantum Composers is located in Bozeman, Montana, a high tech center for electro-optic startups in the northern Rocky Mountain Region. Quantum Composers has become an internationally recognized pioneer in the laser timing and components marketplace with the design and development of a precision digital delay pulse generator line of products and custom laser systems for test and measurement applications.

AT45 Product Release

Quantum Composers Furthers the Flexibility of Pulse Generator Technology

Quantum Composers AT45 High Voltage Pulse Generator Modules

Quantum Composers, Inc. introduces the 45V High Voltage AT45 Output Module for the 9520 series Digital Delay/Pulse Generators. These new state of the art modules allow significantly longer pulse widths at higher voltages with a fast rise time of < 2ns.

Applications that require precision synchronizing or timing control, such as fast solenoid switching, require higher voltages for actuation. Up till now pulse widths have been limited to microseconds thus restricting flexibility and limiting some experiments. The new AT45 High Voltage Module provides pulse widths up to 10 seconds from 3V to 45V in high and low impedance with 20mV amplitude resolution.

Timing and Synchronization Hardware

Pulse Generator Experts Quantum Composers, Inc. Offers Simplified Timing and Synchronization Hardware for a Wide Array of Applications

Quantum Composers 9528 Digital Delay Pulse Generator

Quantum Composers, Inc. now manufactures the Model 9520 Pulse Generator Series which provides a unique and flexible solution to synchronize multiple pulses and triggers for a wide variety of applications.

  • The 9520 Series is the only multi-channel pulse generator to permit differing rates for all the channels using new Clock-Divider functions.  It provides up to eight independent digitally controlled channels with width, delay, rate, and amplitude control on each output.
  • The 9520 Series Pulse Generator now offers dual inputs, functioning as dual triggers or trigger/gating through BNC or optical connections. This is particularly important to stop continuous pulsing with a secondary trigger signal. The user also has per channel source options and can keep specific channels free-running and other channels triggered.
  • Modular output boards provide a variety of output options, allowing the customer to customize their own instrument from stock. The output modules selection array includes both TTL/CMOS with adjustable amplitude, 35V high voltage electrical, and optical at either 820nm or 1310nm. For those working with optical triggering, optical inputs are also available.
  • The 9520 Series is equipped with standard USB and RS-232 with optional GPIB and Ethernet. Our standard programming protocols are backwards compatible and complimentary NI certified LabVIEW™ drivers are available.
  • Advanced features include an increment option which provides incrementing delay times and pulse widths after each trigger or internal burst count. Another feature is  a backlight that illuminates each channel during a pulse condition. Clock-In functionality gives the user the ability to synchronize using a master clock from 10 MHz to 100 MHz.

Quantum Composers LabVIEW Drivers

New LabView Software

LabVIEW Drivers for Quantum Composers Pulse Generators

Introducing the new NI certified project-style LabVIEWtm software driver for our Digital Delay Pulse Generators. The enhanced functionality of our suite of Pulse Generators offers limitless configuration possibilities in experimental and operational designs.

To eliminate the time and effort it takes to define programming combinations, this new flexible approach provides ready-made examples for most common operations in a logical, three tier design. The intuitive hierarchy, combined with advantages like drag/drop and protected data spaces, offered by project-style drivers makes designing custom code quick and efficient. The driver communicates via serial, GPIB, Ethernet, and USB without any additional code changes.

SRS Compatibility with 9520 Series Pulse Generator

Quantum Composers 9520 Series Pulse Generator
Quantum Composers now offers an easy firmware upgrade option for the legacy Stanford Research Systems DG535 pulse generator, allowing the user to use existing programming language as Command Set Compatibility. This will aid in transitioning programming software from the DG535 to the more fully featured and higher throughput QC9520. The majority of these commands perform identically to the SRS equivalent instrument functions, and several capabilities actually extend the functionality and/or the limits of the SRS equivalent capabilities.
