Opto Science has been representing Quantum Composers products since 2005 and has been recognized several times for their excellence in customer service and support. The company itself has been in business for over 25 years, providing products and services to a wide range of customers from their headquarters in Tokyo. They specialize in the sale of laser instruments, such as CO2, Excimer and YAG Lasers, optical supplies and of course test & measurement instruments such as pulse generators.

Sales and Marketing Director for Quantum Composers, Mr. Will Bomar says “Making Opto Science an exclusive reseller was an easy decision. They have shown through their dedication and expertise that the title is well deserved.”

The announcement itself had come just before one of the largest Asian tradeshows of the year, LASER EXPO (OPIE 2013), which took place 24-26 April in Yokohama. Opto Science made their exclusive debut, showing several Quantum Composers products at their booth.

Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Opto Science provides laser systems (laser source, instrumentation systems, sensors, optical materials optical components, peripherals, optical components, vacuum) optical communications (optical components, measuring instruments / fiber processing equipment, accessories) and associated Raman Biotechnology such as unit production and sale systems to foreign skilled Optoelectronics (custom design).

Quantum Composers Introduces a Powerful, Full Function Pulse & Delay Generator in One of the Smallest Form Factors in the Industry Sapphire Series: Outshines the competition in price and performance.

9200 Sapphire Series

Quantum Composers announced today that the highly anticipated 9200 Sapphire Series pulse generators will be available for sale starting in October. The Sapphire Series will start at an unprecedented $995, for 2-channels, while offering fast resolution and low jitter. An industry first, the Sapphire has optional Bluetooth, for a totally wireless experience in addition to the USB power. This unit will also come with its own software application for easy control. Director of Sales and Marketing, Will Bomar says of the new unit, “Our Company is proud to be offering industry leading technology now in a smaller, more affordable unit. The decision to offer this technology at such a low price point was made so that smaller labs, universities and nonprofit research institutions can keep abreast of the latest technology and not be left behind due to their smaller budgets.”
The Sapphire Series Features:

• 2 & 4 Channel Versions
• Custom GUI
• Fast Rise Time, <2ns
• Compact Form Factor

This new industry low price point is speculated to put nanosecond timing technology in the hands of the general public for the first time. Industry standard pulse generators run about 5 times the price and many need special lab created programming to function, making nanosecond timing out of the question for smaller research labs or home innovators. Javan Druckenmiller, long time photographer comments, “Imagine if you were able to take photographs at home in nanoseconds or if startup researchers could create a full laser system with a limited budget. Just think how much more research would be accomplished.”
Quantum Composers states that this new Sapphire timing system will have 10ns resolution and <500ps RMS Jitter, unheard of for under $1000. The instrument offers a complete set of channel operating modes including continuous, single shot, burst, and duty cycle. These modes combined with external trigger/gate inputs, allows for a full range of complex output waveforms.

Phone: (406) 582-0227   9A.M PST, November 2011

Traditionally, researchers spent time creating bulky custom controllers for laser diode drivers from scratch. The Laser System Controller (LSC) 1650 eliminates this step saving valuable time and money. “From the internal pulse generator to the q-switch trigger, this little device is the end all solution for getting your laser system up and running. You will never have to build a controller again as this handheld device has a complex range of signal controls,” explains Steve Birrell, CEO and President of Quantum Composers.
The LSC 1650 can be used for:

• Custom Laser Systems;
• Research and Development;
• Any imaginable laser application…

Quantum Composers developed the new LSC 1650 in response to customer demand for a universal, handheld device that allows remote computer control of a laser system. The model LSC 1650 expands the capabilities of the Laser Diode Driver Controller (LDDC) 1550 and is a convenient/ cost-effective way to orchestrate the operation of multiple laser system components. Advanced features such as an internal pulse generator, Q-switch triggering, an external trigger input, and sync output simplify laser system design, monitoring and control.
Other expanded features:

• Allows for easy control of current levels, pulse modes and interlock states;
• Provides voltage and current level monitoring of the diode driver output;
• Ability to recall settings for controlling different drivers with a single LSC;
• USB port allowing manual or computer control.

The LSC provides all signals necessary to control a laser system—just add a power supply.

Quantum Composers LDDC as a Handheld Device

Bozeman Mt, Quantum Composers, a leading developer of laser timing and synchronization technology has commercially released a new laser diode driver controller for use in the photonics and laser industries. The 1550 LDDC is unique in that it is the only handheld controller to be compatible with many different brands of laser diode drivers. Traditionally researchers spend valuable time creating a controller for diode drivers from scratch. The 1550 LDDC eliminates the need to create their own, saving them valuable time.

Quantum Composers developed the new 1550 LDDC in response to customer demand for a universal handheld device that allows remote computer control of a laser diode driver or it can be integrated into a system as a board level option. The LDDC is a convenient way to operate power supplies for engineering prototypes, R&D laboratories or burn-in and testing. Users will be able to save and recall settings for use on future projects or controlling different drivers with a single instrument. The device features a full LCD display, indicator lights, a full 8 button keypad and a USB port allowing stand-alone functioning or in conjunction with a system.

AT45 Product Release Quantum Composers Furthers the Flexibility of Pulse Generator Technology

Quantum Composers AT45 High Voltage Pulse Generator Modules

Quantum Composers, Inc. introduces the 45V High Voltage AT45 Output Module for the 9520 series Digital Delay/Pulse Generators. These new state of the art modules allow significantly longer pulse widths at higher voltages with a fast rise time of < 2ns.

Applications that require precision synchronizing or timing control, such as fast solenoid switching, require higher voltages for actuation. Up till now pulse widths have been limited to microseconds thus restricting flexibility and limiting some experiments. The new AT45 High Voltage Module provides pulse widths up to 10 seconds from 3V to 45V in high and low impedance with 20mV amplitude resolution.

Timing and Synchronization Hardware Pulse Generator Experts Quantum Composers, Inc. Offers Simplified Timing and Synchronization Hardware for a Wide Array of Applications

Quantum Composers 9528 Digital Delay Pulse Generator

Quantum Composers, Inc. now manufactures the Model 9520 Pulse Generator Series which provides a unique and flexible solution to synchronize multiple pulses and triggers for a wide variety of applications.

  • The 9520 Series is the only multi-channel pulse generator to permit differing rates for all the channels using new Clock-Divider functions.  It provides up to eight independent digitally controlled channels with width, delay, rate, and amplitude control on each output.
  • The 9520 Series Pulse Generator now offers dual inputs, functioning as dual triggers or trigger/gating through BNC or optical connections. This is particularly important to stop continuous pulsing with a secondary trigger signal. The user also has per channel source options and can keep specific channels free-running and other channels triggered.
  • Modular output boards provide a variety of output options, allowing the customer to customize their own instrument from stock. The output modules selection array includes both TTL/CMOS with adjustable amplitude, 35V high voltage electrical, and optical at either 820nm or 1310nm. For those working with optical triggering, optical inputs are also available.
  • The 9520 Series is equipped with standard USB and RS-232 with optional GPIB and Ethernet. Our standard programming protocols are backwards compatible and complimentary NI certified LabVIEW™ drivers are available.
  • Advanced features include an increment option which provides incrementing delay times and pulse widths after each trigger or internal burst count. Another feature is  a backlight that illuminates each channel during a pulse condition. Clock-In functionality gives the user the ability to synchronize using a master clock from 10 MHz to 100 MHz.
