Below are photos of Quantum Composers reseller Opto Science recently attending Laser Expo 2013 (April 24-26) in Yokohama, Japan.
Sponsored by the Laser Society of Japan, the LASER EXPO has been an annual event since 1994, a trade show covering the wide range of laser applications and technologies. It is the only exhibition in Japan dedicated specifically to laser products and services.
Researchers at the University of Manitoba Canada have integrated the 9618+ Pulse Delay Generator to synchronize a revolutionary new corrosion detection system. This system will be used to scan metal reinforcements and structures for corrosion and aging without having to compromise the material for the scan. Sensors will be located within the material itself to allow easy reporting as to the condition of the metal. Civil structures like bridges and concrete buildings could especially benefit from this advance in technology to provide a long term safety system as well as a great reduction in unnecessary replacement costs.
